Types of Membership

There are 4 types of membership available:

 

(a) Regular Members.  Regular Membership in the Association is open to persons franchised by Kentucky Fried Chicken Corporation or its affiliates to operate one or more Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurants in the geographical area of the Caribbean and Latin America.  Regular Members compose the Board of Directors, which may exercise all powers of the Association.

 

(b) Associate Members.  Associate Membership in the Association is open to persons franchised by Kentucky Fried Chicken Corporation or its affiliates to operate one or more Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurants in a geographical area other than that described in Section (a).

 

(c) Institutional Member.  Institutional Membership in the Association is open to any person involved in the Kentucky Fried Chicken franchised food business other than as a franchisee whose application for membership is accepted by the Board of Directors.  As an Institutional Member that is a corporation or other form of organization shall designate a representative who is a partner or principal officer of such Franchisee.

 

(d) Special Members.  Special Membership in the Association is open to persons formerly franchised by Kentucky Fried Chicken Corporation or its affiliates to operate one or more Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurant outlets. If the former franchisee was a corporation or other form of organization, any stockholder or principal officer of such organization may apply for Special Membership.  Special Membership is subject to Board of Directors approval and may be revoked by the Board annually.

 

BENEFITS OF MEMBERSHIP for regular members:

  • Membership in CARIBLA means automatic membership in the AKFCF Association, which is the global KFC Franchisee Association.

  • Members may attend the annual CARIBLA Convention and annual AKFCF Convention.

  • Contact with US and international vendors at the Convention.

  • Access to the members only link in the CARIBLA website.

  • As of 2007 annual dues will be waived if the Franchisee is a member of the RMF.

  • Subscription to the AKFCF Quarterly Magazine.

  • Supply Chain Management Support.

  • Regular Members compose the Board of Directors and participate in Board Meetings.

BENEFITS OF MEMBERSHIP for institutional members:

  • Access to the updated Association Franchisee contact list (35 markets). Members will receive the updated Association Franchisee contact list via e-mail.

  • Invitation to annual convention currently held in conjunction with the AKFCF Convention and invitation to special events.

  • Listing in the CARIBLA Vendor Directory in the Association website (WWW.CARIBLA.COM) and link to your company's webpage. Your contact information and description of your services will be included.

  • Invitation to participate in the AKFCF Quarterly Annual Resource Guide.
